Hong Kong Housing to rise 10% next year

The headline article from Bloomberg:

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/artic...sayers-into-18

Yup, housing becoming even more expensive and unaffordable. Seems like the PERFECT time to cut your housing allowance, just so your pilots have even less hope of being able to live properly in the city they are employed. Genius. I can't imagine WHY any pilot in CX would be looking to leave asap...?

a370. Trafalgar isn't an 'example' of anything. He is someone who has the clarity to cut through the CX management crap. Why you even have an opinion is a mystery, other than as recognition that it is you who are bitter, bitter at obviously having been rejected at some point by CX. Our management is out of control, not the pilots. The pilots of this airline are not going to just sit back and allow their careers to be destroyed. Most of us are planning on leaving regardless, but we will at least make sure that management share the pain. You seem to forget that most of the pilots were enticed away from their home countries, their extended families and their previous careers based on a package that was sold to them as a 'career' package. Just because CX wants to renege on that promise doesn't mean the pilots have to acquiesce. You are the bitter one, and you can only tilt at windmills from the outside. We have our own fight to fight, and you represent noise. Nothing more.

What you don't understand a370 is, we are just protecting all we signed up for. Some including myself were enticed away from QF many years back, for these greener pastures offered by this company.
John Swire and Sons Asia Pacific made a profit this year of over £7B, with the losses incurred by CX.
So we are trying to stop these so called University educated managers taking food from our tables, to line their own nests, via the out dated corporate bonus system, with money taken from front line staff.

So at the end of the day, your jealousy brought about by not being offered a proper contract, just doesn't cut it.

Commuting contract, 12 off per month. Up from the present 10. HKA pay significantly less for expats, but are oversubscribed with rated guys.
12 days off - . Made up rubbish.
Pilots still leaving. Still short of captains.
I think this guy is ex CX, a failed upgrader made good at HKA. It’s personal.

7bn pounds would be 73bn HKD, more than their annual revenue - think you mean HKD 7B?
