A senario worse than zero percent pay rise is expecting that the situation will be addressed by management in 2018. The same management who asked the DPA to accept 2% in 2014/2015/2016 for better things to come. The same Director of Operations , who's so in the driving seat, and is feared by the various DPA white wash committees.
Whos going into training/ management from this years crop of lilly livered committe members?

I wouldn't say happy with nothing but honestly who was expecting any more than nothing. We know time is hard and we have to share the burden.
We can still make it a positive outcome, the company can't offer money but they could make some of us happy with other issues.
What about work flexibility,
Why can't we get back to that 10 positions of Reduced rosters that were introduced during the trial of the scheme; why can't we make it even 20;
The excuse that we don't have enough pilots is not a valid answer, most senior pilots that are leaving or looking at options go for a commuting Chinese contract, they might be staying in KA on RRO.
Why can't we sell/buy holidays between pilots and make those who want more money happy and those who don't need the money as much and want more time off happy.
It's not because there is no money that we have to wait one year before we get anything: there is still a lot of free issues that we can improve and on which the company can prove it's good Faith !

Bacou. You say the "company can't offer us more money"... Well, if you help state their case for them, then you will guarantee they won't. They 'can' offer more money, they just decided to not do so. You agreeing with them only puts off to a much later date the moment you will get more money. I despair....

Trafalgar, our DFO told the pilot group that the company can't offer more money, I acknowledge it because I believe in "the good faith", expression I heard a lot these days.
Honestly our job as KA drivers is tiring, boring and I'd rather have more time off to do things I like than more money that won't change the fact that the job is tiring and boring.

CX will crush the KA pilots just like they have crushed the CX pilots.
They just don't know they've showed their hand and will say in years to come '17 was where we blew it.
In CX it was '94
You're firmly in China now girls and boys!

In good faith? Give it time, you'll get over it. There is no good faith bargaining with Cathay Pacific!
