Let's give the AOA some teeth

Arm the AOA with the following motions to go into negotiations...

Step 1
The GC will have the authority to extend the training ban, if the company imposes any measures that mitigates the effect of the training ban, until such time as the company recinds such actions.

Step 2
The GC will have the authority to grant anyone resigning from training, immunity from loss of salary by providing a stipend for the shortfall (if there is one) in the amount of (total annual salary whilst in training - total annual salary whilst not in training). These amounts will be adjusted for annual increments and pay rises so these affects are not used to reduce the shortfall. GC will also be able to increase subs as required to cover said shortfall. The number of people granted this immunity will be on a 1 for 1 basis. I.e. If company gets a new trainer rank, GC will grant immunity to 1 resigning. The effect of this will be to nullify any increase in training ranks.

These motions should be put into effect before negotiations start

Motions aside, that's got to be the best moniker on prune! 😂😂😂

Let's have a motion to raise the subscription rate. This is the most profound moment in the history of this association, and we need a strong war chest to take on the company. Let's put our money where our mouths are. We did it for the 49er's, we can do it again now to fight back against this abomination of a management.

Do these training captains really need to have their 10 percent, or whatever it is, paid by the Aoa? Can't they take a hit for a little while, just like the people that have to stay extra days in hotels due to cc, and so's and fo's being delayed in their upgrade? That all costs money too.. Shall we cover that too?
As a matter of fact their paycheck may be fairly similar, as they might catch some overtime...

They are senior captains, hardly hard up for money.

And a very benevolent thing we did for the 49'ers right up to the point we cast them adrift!

The AOA should be filing court case after court case Like:
1) By pass pay and claim for guys that have been on bypass but without any annual increase in pay. Then when they get their promotion they are stuck on year one pay where they should be earning year 3 pay for that rank.
2) Statutory leave days and the payment we all claimed for back over a year ago.
3) Rostering Practices: we took em to court before and won so why not do it again.
4) 25 year housing that was promised years ago.

If the company has never ending court dealings then that will send a clear message to the AT's Bosses that they are clearly not dealing with the issues adequately.

Just stick to CC. That is ALL that is needed. Keep your own peer group on track, and we will grind them down. NOTHING they can do will really make any difference. Ultimately they will need to come to their senses. They are in full panic mode now, so sit back, get some popcorn and watch the show!
