Prove you can breath and try not to pee yourself.
You'll be fine. I understand it helps if you're ESL.

Danger

CAE Parc looking for A320 Capt's for HKE and looking at the application criteria seems to suggest they are desperate for some reason

Guys!

Hong Kong Express (HKExpress, Hong Kong's Low-Fare airline [Global] > ??) is part of the HNA Group.

Started operations as a LCC in last October, 27. They are flying 5 Airbus A320, planning to add more 6 A320 in 2014, achieving a fleet of 30 A320 in 2018.

The website indicates that they are hiring non type-rated FO's and CAPT's for the A320.

FO's minimuns are pretty low. 1000TT and 500hrs on a FAR25 airplane. CPL and ICAO 4.

This is what I know by searching in the web...

Anyone knows if this is real? Are they really hiring NTR FO's with only 1000TT?

I'm just above this minimuns (1100TT and 900hrs on the E190) and I don't have any Boeing/Airbus type.

This oportunity sounds unique for me!, although the company bad reputation...

Right now my goal is to fly the B737 with COPA Airlines, in Panama, but this oportunity with HK Express sounds really good... with a real chance to upgrade, with the company growing up to +30 A320's by 2018!

You better research the cost of living and what you will get paid cos for sure its cheaper in Panama for start's. Your choice though.

For sure.

Payment in COPA is around US$4500, and in HKE some guys told me US$ 8000.

US$4500 in Panama is a lot of more money than US$8000 in Hong Kong.

But right now I'm not looking for money. I'm looking for a type rating in Boeing/Airbus and a chance to upgrade after some years. I'm trying to look forward, not only "right now".

I don't have childs or a spouse, so moving to another country even far away from home is not a problem, but I personally think that the culture and the language could be a big problem in Hong Kong.

And of course that Panama is easier than HK for a young brazilian without any international experience, hehe

So COPA is my first choice, but if something goes wrong, I want to have HK as an option, so I'm searching for informations about HK Express and how is the screening.

If anyone have some information about HK Express, don't be shy, share with us!

Capt > 3000 Jet PIC HK$75,000
Capt < 3000 Jet PIC HK$65,000

FO >3000 jet HK$45,000
>1500 jet HK$35,000
<1500 jet HK$25,000

There are extra payments available but they are "at company discretion". Read your contract carefully! This means they can choose whether to pay you or not. The last time they decided not to pay the extras was this year. The company changed fleet from 737 to 320, which was an expensive exercise. Solution: take money off the pilots!
Even the above basic pay is not guarateed because they change your contract regularly up or down.
It is no place to settle, don't risk bringing a family here and certainly don't count on an upgrade. Only reason to come is short term to get the rating. Lots of guys are doing this now, that's why they are always recruiting.
DEFINITELY don't believe the expand plans. In 2006 there were 5 aircraft. If you read prune threads you will see promises of huge expansions, 787s, 747-Fs and more great plans. Today there are still 5 aircraft.

75000 that's $9675.00 or there abouts. That would be tough in HK if that's all you get.Good apartment and a bit of partying not much left to send home.

Thanks for the info....

FYI I heard AirHK A300 Fo's earn more than that HKE 320 offer for Capt's. And more relaxed lifestyle right. Figure that one .

Unless one has family support and willing to eat very locally most of the time, $24000 a month will not make ends meet. One could rent a room, not a flat and barely be able to eat properly. I don't expect there are many HK residents endorsed on the A320 hanging around filling up these vacancies.
