ENT recommendation

Hi,

I'm looking for a good ENT in Hong Kong. I've seen a couple so far, who unfortunately can't seem to process more than one symptom at a time and prefer to stare at their computer screen rather than listen to the patient...It would be a plus if the ENT was covered by the CX medical plan, but I'd rather spend some money than waste time.

Thanks for your advice!

One of the world's leading ENTs was, and hopefully, still is in Hong Kong. Prof van Hesselt (?) was up until a few years ago the head of Prince of Wales hospital. Many years ago my daughter was a patient of his and the treatment received was outstanding. He is knowledgeable, has a great rapport with children and he listens to parents' concerns. Upon our our return to the UK for a subsequent check up, the ENT told us how lucky we were to have had him treat our child. If he is still practising, I would look him up. Good luck

I've used Terry Hung at the New World Centre. He's approved by CX and has fixed problems for me that other ENT's found too hard and gave up on.
He has also helped out my young son.
I would highly recommend him.

Prof Charles Andrew van HASSELT; still practising at CUHK and sees patients at the Prince of Wales Hospital, and Union Hospital, both in Sha Tin. He is not on the panel, however QHMS will generally accept and retrospectively pay a referral to him..ie pay first, claim back letter..get approval first !! He is difficult to get to see, as he has a waiting list a mile long, however, as BUSDUDE says, acknowledged as one of the worlds' experts, especially paediatric hearing complaints etc.

With respect to the FWD C of G previous post, and Dr. TH, please PM me..
tks.
