Really, trying to play airline are we? First toy you will need is a REAL employee website that actually allows employees to do their business. How many months now that Intra-suCX freezes and won't let anyone log on?
Getting really pathetic now. If this is our IT budget's best, I shudder to think what other critical areas they skimp on as well.
Considering that we need the website to maintain our flight manuals and to study why hasn't anyone taken this issue to the CAD, the FAA and the CAA and declared it as a safety issue. Pilots are flying with out of date manuals and regularly fly without timely access to important amendments to procedures while the company saves millions in publishing costs. The time from sign on to doors closed is not enough to review the FCOM's for amendments. E-docs rarely works due to a combination of ddis problems, hardware and software problems together with the fact we aren't all computer whips. There has to be some give and take in the whole e-manual system with an option to return to paper manuals if one wants them! Give us your thoughts chaps please.
