May not be able to afford shoes as well as paying the rent. Would flip-flops be OK?

hey guys

Does AHK provide accomodation in hong kong during the training period? I was just looking at some apartment rental prices in HK and found it impossible to afford a decent 1br with the under training pay in HK... Also, does anyone know how long the average training period is?

Why does everyone need to PM ? Can't a clear, honest opinion be posted on the public page...meaning right here.It would do everyone a big favour.Having applied to HKA (Capt)too and having rung them up to check the T&C's...I was told that if the application was found suitable, the T&C's would be informed accordingly.Found that a bit contradictory..considering that someone would apply based on the T&C's.Will post once something comes up.
As an aside...the ME carriers are also pretty cloak & dagger....inducting tons of aircraft but considering their oil rich status--pretty smart about giving 20% less than what they should.
Sometimes feel...that all Airline Pilots should be part of a central global Union (National Unions are woefully inadequate) to protect their own..........just thinking aloud...Cheers!!!

If you really believe that then you wouldn't accept a job for less that what you are worth and screw the T & C's for other "aviator"
