hi everyone, i just though id try and start a thread to correlate dates for the Cathay Pacific CPP for applicants from everywhere to see if you can figure out when you may be exoecting to here from them.
what I mwan here is (a) the date you applied (b) the date you heard anything from them and (c) the date of an interview.
i propose to do this in the form of a table with the following collumns
date applied ¦ date of response ¦ current location ¦ 1st requested location ¦ 2nd requested location ¦ date of 1st interview
so mine would be
21/07/09¦no response yet¦United Kingdom¦ UK ¦ Ire ¦ n/a
anyone who replies to this can just simply copy the table, fill in their details (chronological date)but put urs in bold so we know which one is new.
this may not work but what the hell-and good luck, we're all counting on you
Hi, thanks for the information! Does anyone have any ideas as to when London will come round again? Im guessing 2010 is a reasonable expectation based on previous posts, just curious to see if anyone knows roughly when (e.g. early/late). I just missed out on the deadline for the last batch, having applied in late August... kicking myself a bit for not being faster!
kofk unfortunately you didnt 'just' miss out on the London ones -I applied in the 3rd wk of July and haven't heard anything from them. it would be interesting to know when the last date to be accepted was. I'm kicking myself also as I was dilly-dallying with my longer answers as I was always feeling they weren't quite right. If I was a bit quicker who knows.
anyway so we have
Adelaide 07/09 -08/08
London: late 08/09 - early 09/09
Vancouver: 10/09
Any tips on how to even begin studying for this thing since I gotta be in Vancouver in 3 weeks...I'm right smack inthe middle of my commercial license too...

Keep pursuing your goals and don't give up
I just flew with one of the blokes that is on the interview panel and he told me that they will require 160 pilots for 2010
Already I have seen future candidates walking in their suits being given the CX City tour, as they are being sent to Adelaide, South Australia to commence their initial training.
Good luck to All - it's worth it, just DON'T GIVE UP NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS.
