Hainan Airlines

Hello,

Anyone have any info on Hainan Airlines. I may have an interview coming up and I am trying to gather all the information I can about the screening process, schedules and any other pertinent info I can gather.

Thanx in advance for the info!!!!

Cheers,

I have several friends working in Chinese run airlines and I myself worked for Hainan for one of its side companies.

Hainan basically runs Hong Kong Airlines and Hong Kong Express, so read the threads on those companies and it should give you a fair idea about Hainan.

I also know some friends that applied to Hainan and the process takes a LONG time. 6 months +. Lots of paperwork for the License, and Hainan also takes a long time due to the "mainland factor"

If you do work for Hainan or any Chinese company, expect no rights as a worker. Expect your pay to be docked if you have a sick day even if your contract says you get them, expect chain smoking in the cockpit, expect no CRM, expect corruption, stupidity, lies, false promises; expect to be shafted in some way or another. They will give you promises which will not be honored.

Hainan and all Chinese companies have a long way to go to get foreign pilot recruitment right.

Good luck

Having worked in China for over three years now, that assessment is spot on.

Exclamation Hainan Time Waste!

Dear friends!
My advice – DO NOT WASTE TIME for Hainan!
Hainan does not hire – they just playing stupid games.
Flight department, Check-mans, Chief-pilot during sim will do everything to not let you come in Hainan. Even you have already valid Chinese ATPL and you flew not one year in China.
Can you believe that Captain who has 15 years experience of international flights in Europe, Asia, Middle-East, who has big experience CAT2/3 operation, huge numbers of total hours and more then 5000 hours PIC on 737, can fail sim check in Hainan during screening?
IT IS BULLSHIT!!!
They (Hainan flight department) do not want to see foreign Captains in the company.
This is fact- after 6 years of hiring Hainan has only 6 foreign Captains for 78 B737 fleet!!!

DO YOU WANNA TRY?-GOOD LUCK!
