Yes, was offered original class date in July'08, but requested to take a start date of late '08. Heres hoping it all looks different in a couple of months

Keelhaul were you offered a classdate? I talked to somebody on another forum who interviewed in May and got an August classdate (YVR).

I guess all the Oasis guys joined around that time also. Are any of those still in the pool or have they all started?

Yes, I was offered multiple class dates throughout '08. Personal circumstances meant I was not in a position to accept. Now my situation has changed and I can accept and of course there are no courses available. Oh well, that's how it goes I suppose. Though I am not holding my breath and thankfully have an excellent job right now, I suppose it is possible that it may change a little sooner than we expect.

"the other guy" will soon be finishing and coming home, finally. No I never got a class date, two of the seven who successfully interviewed that week got into classes. The rest of us thought we would catch the next one. oh well...

Hi exjetstreamer,

was that letter you received in direct response regarding DEFO recruiting? or all recruiting in general? i'm looking at re-applying for the cadet programme in a couple of weeks (12 months almost up!) and dreading that response....

Fatty,
From what I can gather there will be limited DESO and DEFO courses next year with no DESO and DEFO recruitment planned at all for 2009, however I have heard that their will be the standard four cadet courses starting in 2009.

See you for a drink sometime

Hi,
no it was regarding DESO. Never mention anything about re-applying.

Cav,

Interesting what you say about limited courses for DESO and DEFO next year. The letter I and many others have is quite clear that there will be no courses next year, with a re-evaluation towards the end of next year.

Heres hoping that changes, and quickly!

My course date starts in Feb but I am KA crew who joined CX in July 08, but was seconded back to KA until a course date became available for the 400.

That's a bold statement. What supporting evidence do you have?
