CX Second Officers.....>

A few guys including me are on yes letters as SO's for Cathay. Were told at the interview expect a start later this year. Now told early next year.
Any1 know whether they have stalled with their SO hires? and with all the DEFO's and fuel crisis would we even expect a start next year at all?

Im in the same boat. Originally told late this year but now moved out to March/April next year. Thats a hell of a long time to be sitting on a yes letter.

On the plus side (I suppose) is that they are still interviewing so they must still be needing SO's

Fingers crossed it will move forward. They seem to think they will know more when the training schedule is released in September.

Good luck

I am interested in an SO position at Cathay, what sort of time and experience do you guys/girls have. Also, would you happen to know if Cathay will permit you to include S/O B727 time toward there mins of 1000hr??

Thanks

No probs mate, when I got the interview had 2200 total time with about 1000 hours 737.

Best give the girls in recruitment a ring about the SO time. I know there is a section in the application for it but just to be sure chat to them. Very approachable and a few canadians in the recruitment team as well
