Updating you app. regulary...

This will sound like a stupid question, and will probably be met with a torrent of abuse. I just hope that at least one reply provides some info...

Since there is frequent talk of updating the application regularly, do you simply enter the new data and save it, or do you need to save it then re-submit it every time? I'd hate to think that just saving it doesn't actually update it on their live systems. Or on the other hand, that re-submitting it each time sends it back to the bottom of a very long list of applications.

Is one option better than the other, or will both methods accomplish the same job?
