Question Missed Tech. Qs.

I had my initial interview last week in YVR and have been mulling over the interview in my head since I have 10 days before I hear my results.

I think I missed two tech. questions that I know of. I initially had the wrong answer for wet runway t/o flap setting but after the interviewer asked me follow up questions I changed my answer to a greater flap setting and he seemed happy with that. But now I just realized I missed the last question on the interview which now seems completely obvious but at the time I was thinking something different. I got the old: its hot outside, you're on the approach, on glide slope, but your altimeter is reading lower than the altitude you're supposed to be crossing at. Is this normal or should we expect that? I had it completely backwards and said,"no its hot out so the air is less dense than standard at my altitude the so the altimeter should read above what my crossing altitude should be." Then he asked what I would do and I said I might have an altimeter problem and I would break off and ask for a transponder alt. from ATC. That was the end of the tech questions. It just hit me in the middle of the night that I completely blew that one and I didn't even have a clue.

I guess my question is, assuming the rest of the interview went well is that enough to not be asked to attend the second interview? That's two important topics that I showed a weak understanding of. But I felt I answered the rest of the questions correctly.

Thanks,

Sioux

it all depends on your demeanor. if you had a pattern of just blurting out answers and obviously BSing, then it could be a problem.
However it sounds as though you were just nervous and made a couple of mistakes.

don't worry about it.
