Covair Cv 580 (CL 66) CRASH AT SHABUNDA

Anyone heard about the Cv 580 crash at Shabunda yesterday? The crew are OK no details on the plane.

Thumbs down Shabunda's crash

Dear Grizzly,
Please get more information before insulting all the pilots in DRC, that they bought theyre licence....

For your information, it's a ZS registered airplane. That airplaine belong to a certain Barman, ex-Sunair.
He was overlaoded.....

Here in Congo, not all pilots buy theyr licence. Like you can see when a crash occurs , it can happen to anyone, FAA pilots, SA pilots, JAR pilots....

So next time please get informations before insulting people_

did the crew (JAR, FAA, SA etc. licensed or not) checked before in what sort of runway they are going to land a CL66 ? and how they gonna get it out again ? a bit of a small airstrip uhh...

Captain was Jaques Grolier late of Shabair, Zaire Express etc good pilot by all accounts. Co Jo a French subject no name given. Flight engineer Ken Roberts Pom living in RSA. Non flying Owner Ken Hamilton, Canadian. Work is ongoing to break up the airframe and recover what ever.
