Freight Dogs Finally a forum for those midnight prowler types who utilise the unglamorous parts of airports that many of us never get to see. Freight Dogs is for pilots and crew who operate mostly without SLF.

Saw an L1011F freighter parked at FJR the other day.
Is it based there?
Anyone know who is operating it?

Is it this one: http://www.airliners.net/open.file/1024555/L/ ?

In that case it's Starjet EX-088, formerly Star Air of Sierra Leone L9-LDR. Aircraft on Kyrgyzstan register, company registered in UAE (all according to Aerotransport database). Another aircraft on their books is A8-AAB, formerly Intl. Air Services, formerly Ducor World Airlines.

r3500vdp no -500F's
Only dedicated L1011 freighters ( i.e with Cargo Door) is the -1F with Skyeyes ( Ex Tradewinds) and the -200 F 's ex-KHI and Arrow.

Excluding RAF of course !!

A few people have tried without to freight without cargo door

I understand Skyeyes is out of business.
Did they come back?
SkyThai has 2 L-1011 passenger and 1 L-1011 freighter.

L1011F

BRISTOLRE,
not sure - saw it from a distance in the night a few weeks ago. From what I could see, I think it looked like Arabic writing down it's side?
The only reason I mention it is because you don't see them very often.
Cheers,
C o' G

Must have a contract to run in & out of there!

They also seem to be hiring if you look at their website!

Sorry I stand corrected.
Skyeyes is still in operation.
And they are planning on adding a passenger Tristar soon.
