Im after an aircraft to fit a number of roles.
Mostly I want to use it for Banner towing, but I also want it to be rather fast with a bit of poke, and if possible be aerobatic.
I want to appeal to the ppl who wants a bit of fun, or people who want to try somthing new.
any thoughts would be appriciated.

Big ask Homer_J.
Most banners have a VNE of 70kts. Fast and prolonged flight at 60kts do not really go together.
Have towed in a C-172XP.
Seen Super Cubs, C-180, Grumman Agcats same. Heard of O-1 Birddog too.
None of which are really aerobatic...
Fastest and most utility would be the C-180. With the right prop. they will gallop.
Hope this helps. Good luck. Towing can be fun. Hours of fun putting the banners together too!

A Citabria is slightly aerobatic, O.K. for towing although not especially fast. Fun to fly though.

Hopefully not aerobatic WITH the banner ;)
They use Pawnees and I think it's a Decathlon around here. One thing to think about (in the US at least) is if you're going to get someone else to fly it, then if it has a tail wheel, it'll be harder to find someone the insurance copmpany will be happy with.

You could try a C150 Aerobat. Not sure if it does the banner towing bit, but definitely aerobatic and reasonably entertaining.
