Hi All,

I am thinking of taking a position with Cathay Feight/ASL and was trying to find out what life was really like over there.

Unfortunately I have friends but none at Cathay Freight.

Can someone let me know what it's like with them $/schedule/commuting etc.

I have been poking arounf PPrune but can't find anything about them.

Cheers

Jimmy

<<I am thinking of taking a position>>
Do you mean "applying for a position"
ASL no longer recruit for CX freighters; applicants are required to approach Cathay Pacific and may, if they have sufficient previous experience, be directed to the freighter fleet.

OR - THEY WILL IGNORE YOU!!!

I've got over 5,300 hours B747 Classics, a lot of which is freighter operations, but they have not bothered to respond to my emails, guess they have enough experienced people.

Cheers

No I mean accept a position...I don't feel like moving to HKG yet so I didn't want the PAX division because of that

And I know ASL doesn't do the work anymore. I added that to ensure folks had an idea of what I was talking about. All Freighter crew are employed by either Veta Limited, USA Basing Limited or Overseas Aircrew Basing Limited, wholly owned subsidiaries of Cathay Pacific Airways. Veta, USAB and OABL provide freighter crew for Cathay Pacific Airways Limited and for Air Hong Kong Limited.

My question still stands does anyone have a comment on life/roster/pay etc about the freghter wing?

Cheers
