Out of interest which aircraft would you choose to fill this role?
Sector length range 450 - 1100nm and carry min 7pax but 12 would be preferred and would be able to fly at least 1200 hours per year.

Jet or prop and how much can you spend? Give us a clue.

With that amount of hours if you're looking at Business Aircraft then you will need two of them!

Unless you look at a corporate config'd regional a/c.

Why 2 ? give me a clue....
I know a KingAir B200 that did 1150 hrs/year without problems...
If memory serves me correct, Cessna awarded somebody for doing 1500 hrs/year in a Ultra....

mustfly :
What runway lenghts do you have in mind ? Would they carry lots of Baggage ? or not ? Standup Cabin required ? APU a must ?

You would have to admit that 1200 hours is an awful lot for a Bizjet.

Although I'm not sure of range, there are some corporate config'd Saab 340's in the US, they might do the trick!

AirQueen....nice example with the Bravo, that's an awful lot of hours still. Now, how would you put 12 people into the Ultra.
Come on Airqueen, give me a clue!

READ mustflys post before you start crying.

7 minimum, 12 preferred. 7 in a Ultra - no problem - even you should know that....

Airking,
You must mean something else than Ultra made by Cessna. 7 pax on 1100 nm legs sounds me more like Challenger/Gulfstream business.

I would choose a King Air 350 (1 st choice), then a Beech 1900 C or D because there are around 100 of those for sale.

If talking Jet, well with 12 pax...and 1200 hours...2 Gulfstream IV or G300 !

A Hawker 700, 800, or 800XP might be worth looking at, as long as you have reasonably good access to Raytheon service in your area. I'm not sure what the service requirements would be at 1200 hours per year, but at first glance these aircraft would meet your other requirements.

A GIV is definitely overkill with that low a range plus I wouldn't like to guess at the cost of the engine hours at that utilization.

May I suggest a "Challenger 800" (RJ-200 with exec interior) ? - possibly without the extra PATS tankage if the range requirement is as low as quoted. RJs routinely do over 300 hours per month & break even at 14 pax. We had one as company shuttle until they took it away - spacious & quiet - lovely!

The added advantage is that you can go almost anywhere in North America (or Europe) and guarantee to find ground crew who know the aircraft.

450nm, OK for a turboprop...1100nm, too long.
Scratch the turboprop. (Should know, used to do a lot of exec flying in an FH227, seven days a week, three sectors minimum daily).

Would seriously look at a G3. We recommended one to a client just a few days ago, and think he's gonna bite.

411A,
These days, a GIII is not welcome in many parts of the World, as it only meets Stage 2 noise requirements. The good old RR Spey is too noisy for most of Europe, for instance.
Cheers!

Right on the money blues, there are two certified now, AFAIK.

One uses an 'ejector' similar to the old DC8-20/30.

hmm, Embraer Legacy, Dornier Envoy 4 (based on the 328Jet), Citation III, VI, VII & X (pushing it with 12 pax though), Bombardier Challanger, Falcons etc.

The only TP I can think of is the Piaggio Avanti (7 pax is max I believe)
