Just been asked by a friend of mine tonight, who is bidding for a contract in Iraq, as to whether or not there are any internal flights between towns, or even an air taxi service established.

The company he's very high up in, is concerned about moving personnel by road, I think they'd even consider leasing an aircraft. Does anyone know what the story is there right now?

Kuwait Airways will be starting operations to Baghdad and Basra soon if that helps. The first to do so.

Have a nice day :D :D :D

Thanks Rabbit

But I think they will be looking for more flexibility of destinations, routes and timings, due to the nature of their business (telecoms)

Still , if Kuwait Air are flying, then it must mean that there is some scope :)

Thanks muchly for that Bubbette

I think the plan is to give internal flights to US/UK carriers, hence the "No fly it's not safe" The South Africans are forever doing things like this, I remember Noel Gordon aviation , a South African firm, flying us in Rwanda, when it was still dangerous. Possibly best not to have the aircraft G- or N- then ....
