Can anyone please shed some light on how I can find US Reg (N-Reg) aircraft based here in the UK. I know there's a few around (at farnborough and Biggin Hill), but is there a list from anywhere so I can find out who owns/operates them.
And please just another quick one.
I know there's a Lear 45 based down at Farnborough Airport, and has its maintainance done down in Nuremburg. Can anyone please shed a little light on who own's it/manages it?? I know the guys name was Neil (I'm pretty sure of that) but not sure of the second name (or company it's managed by). Any light on these two issues would be of great help. Thanks.

When I was in UK looking for N-reg work,I used to look at Airport movements(ie Luton has a website),write down the N -reg,then go to the FAA database and see where the aircraft was registered and who was the owner.......and then send them my CV.Not always successful as alot of aircraft are owned by holdings companys,so you CV wont neccesarily get to the right people. There are some books you can buy which have all the registrations of Biz Jets turboprops.I have some old ones which storage in UK.
Hope I have been of some help to you.

The question has arisen before, there is or was a book published by Air Britain called "1998 United Kingdom and Ireland Civil Aircraft Registers"
Section 8 contained a listing (13 pages!)of "None British Aircraft Currently Located or under Rebuild in the British Isles" Obviously it could never be complete and is now well out of date, most are light aircraft. But it did cover biz jets even the airliners. I've no idea if it is still published. The Unofficial Farnborough web site has a listing of based aircraft. http://www.farnboroughspotters.co.uk/
I can't remember the exact figure but when GAMTA did a survey a couple of years ago about 30 or 40% of Business Aircraft in the UK were foreign registered.
I'm not familiar with a Lear 45 based in Farnborough but I'll ask around. Only one is possibly G-GMAA managed/owned by GAMA.

Thanks for some of the info there guys. Mike Echo, I'm pretty sure its a Learjet thats based at Farnborough on the N-Reg, but whether its a 45 I'm not sure, that makes the task all the more harder I guess. Sorry! But like I said, managed by a guy called Neil. It flew to Palma this weekend (Saturday) I know that much. Trying to supply as much info as possible!!! Hope that helps out a bit. I assume you're based at Farnborough then huh?
Thanks anyway.

FAA database for UK registered aircraft (http://162.58.35.241/acdatabase/acmain.htm)
Click on Territory and Country, then select UK. There are 264 N-registered aircraft registered to addresses in the UK according to FAA records.

Looking at the UK FAA list, can anyone explain why variations of addresses in the St.Just area of Cornwall seem to cover most ownerships?

Yes, that is where the trustee company is based that can register an aircraft on the N register in the UK for you, if you are not an American citizen, under the name 'SOUTHERN AIRCRAFT CONSULTING INC TRUSTEE'

Most N reg aircraft based in the UK are registered to trust companies in Delaware - so you won't find them by looking at the FAA database.
SAC work on a different basis, which is why they show up in the UK.

let me know if you need a list - we have data here on all turbine owners in the world and we can sort based on N# based at UK airport

Do u accept buttons for payment? As you'll probably realise that we're asking for this help so we can be employed and pay people in real currency.
