Handling in Egypt

Hi Everyone ,

Any one could help regarding selecting a handling agent for Corporate Aviation Compan who plans to go intensively to Egypt and what is the best services and the best prices

I have operated quite extensively in Egypt and in my opinion I would say Tiger Aviation are the most competent and would recommend them.(No I don't work for them ;)

They also have handling agents at all the Airports
within Egypt.

Don't forget you'll require overflight and landing permission.

Tiger are good, others include National, and a company that I have not tried, "Jet Egypt".
Parking for most GA types is U, close to the Mil parking halfway down the N/S runway. Bigger types on main apron or remote areas.
If you require steps to put engine blanks and other red plasticky things in, these can be problem.
Do not expect VHF communications.
Tiger and National cover almost all airports in Egypt.
ATC flight plans MUST be filed locally, so get a hard copy from your supplier, or ensure that it ic copied to the handling company.
Check with ATC as soon as possible, if it is received.
handling staff mostly speak english......however they will require you to sign for their services received, before you receive them!!!!!!
The Movenpick hotel at airport, has a good executive lounge/level, good value for short nights.
Downtown Marriott, always crew in hotel, usually in exec level.

I have had experience with Tiger Aviation and must say that they produce results way over average for that part of the world!

Haven't tried any of the others though...

Just back from Cairo having used National - it was a completely painless experience and non-time consuming as well...which is not what I had expected.

The regular crew (some currently on holidays) also have nothing but good things to say about National at Cairo.

Don't know anything about their other locations.

We have used them for the past 2 years now for our corporate 727's in several Egyptian airports and they have been very very efficient. Can obtain overflight and landing permissions for us in about 5 or 10 minutes.
