I am inquisitive to find out what other people think of the birth of personal jets like the Cessna Mustang or Eclipse 500?

Do people think it is a waste of time and very few people will be interested?

Personally, I think it is yet another step in aviation that could be successful providing the prices of such jets are lowered accordingly. Aviation needs constant progressions like this to keep attracting further aviators.

What do you think?

Thanks,

With the price of Beech barons bumping up against the one million mark, and the expense of keeping the higher powered pistons and turboprops going, I personally think personal jets are the future of GA certainly the performance they offer will raise the safety level much higher than it is now...

As many of these new jets will be certificated for single pilot ops, the main impediment to their ultimate success will be pilot insurance issues.
