I have an interview this Monday for a job to fly a Seneca for the CEO of a private company and urgently need information on the rules and regulations governing corporate flying, and the pros and cons.

The job description only implies that it is SPO and that the pilot will be in charge of maintenance.

Does anyone have any experience working in this type of job? Would the aircraft be flown under an AOC, or is that not necessary for flights of this kind (where a/c is owned, operated and flying company employees)

What are the flight time limitations?

What is a reasonable salary to expect for this type of work (not that beggars can be choosers!)

Any information at all would be much appreciated

Thanks

To miss quote the flight line notice "if in doubt refer to rule 1."

The only rule is protect your ass.

Having been in corporate all my life, I am still looking for the rule book....happy hunting.

hi pilotcoxy

first of all bumz rush is right, there is no rule book for corporate aviation.
the job you described looks like a private operation. that means you don't need an AOC, no flight time limitations or duty regulations. usually the pilot of such an operation is also responsable for flightplanning and maintenance. you are on standby 24hrs, 7 days a week. a one man show in all respects.
if it is a good operation or not all depends on how the boss treats his employee and vice versa.
it is definitely not a job for life, but agood start in the world of corporate aviation.

good luck
