View Full Version : Job in Middle East - please help

Kharoubi

I hope somebody can help me to find job as pilot in Arabic Flying Companies.
I have 1575 hours (880 jet), JAR CPL, ME, I, ATPL frozen, MCC on DC 10, Medical check class 1 - all valid.
Danish nationality, origin Arabic.
Give me a chance to work as pilot in my homeland - in Europe it is difficult to enter the aviation world with an arabic name.
After many years as looking for job as pilot, every day it gets more and more difficult. Cleaning dishes, driving taxi.
Any ideas are welcome.
Thanks.

Kharoubi,
I see you say that you are Danish, but Arabic origin. Does that mean you have 2 passports? Despite some of my negative points about ADA on another thread, it may be worth you applying to them as they are likely to be operating more fixed wing aircraft next year, in addition to their Dash 8s.
They have application form on their website, but you may be better off sending them a CV thro' the mail, explaining more about your Arabic origins and qualifications.
The accommodation they have is lousy, but if you go to live in Abu Dhabi there are plenty of nice apartments and it's a very pleasant place to live in.

Kharoubi I'm no expert but I see you have 800hrs jet...how about applying to some Major airlines; QR,GF,EK Oman air or Kuwait airways? Executive jets; Net Jets Middle East (Jeddah), Bexair (Bahrain), Execujet (Dubai), and plenty of other Cos in KSA..like ARAMCO.
Express Cargo; DHL (Bahrain) and Falcon Express Cargo Airlines (Dubai).
Of course as mentioned earlier by Yarba, Abu Dhabi Aviation who like Aramco are involved in oil field supplies etc.
Don't ask me for these Cos addresses because I don't know them, but I'm sure someone will fill you in! Also sugggest you look back in this Forum, some addresses are listed.

Good luck!

I agree with Flat-Spot. Try some of the majors. They all have their own web sites. I dont know them all off the top of my head, but just run a search and they will pop up. Im sure carriers in the middle east will give a native of the area a look in, especially someone like you with a good bit of experience, including jet time under their belt.

Good Luck. Hope it all works out.

I AM IN THE SAME BOAT AS YOU WITH ARABIC BACKGROUND AND BORN IN EUROPE.

I HAVE 5000HRS TYPED IN B777 AND B744 AND 3000HRS HEAVYJET HAVE APPLIED TO EMIRATES A YEAR AND HALF AGO
AND WHEN TO VISIT THEM AS WELL IN DUBAI AND APPLIED TO ALL THE MIDDLE EAST AIRLINES AND NEVER GOT A REPLY FROM THEM.
SO WHAT KIND OF RUBBISH IS THAT???

IF YOU CAN'T EVEN GET A JOB IN YOUR OWN ETHNIC COUNTRY
THEN THAT IS VERY SAD SO WHERE ELSE YOU GONE GET A JOB UNLESS YOU CREATE YOUR OWN AIRLINE.

I AM STILL UNEMPLOYED UNTILL WHEN ,NO CLUE.

CHEERS AND GOOD LUCK

you normally don't do that , but i do apologize for the behavior of my fellow europeans citizens ...It is a shame .
Why don't you guys try around africa , there is still a few jobs open around to foreigners (Normally not in the majors that restrict to Nationals) especially that you've got hours and being called ali or mohammed is fortunately not a deterrent around here .Keep in touch if you need infos .
salaams ...
