I just read about Ford's plans to replace its sleek GVs with equally-as-sleek Falcon 900EXs and 2000s - I have even seen the GVs advertised for sale. Evidently, the GVs were not ideal for the missions flown and the Falcons were preferred...

Stressfree and Fokkerjet - what are your opinions? As a GV pilot Fokkerjet, will you miss the aircraft? I know you previously flew Falcon 900s, but how do you feel about the switch? What's the deal?

Regardless, you are still flying AWESOME aircraft either way...

Cheers

All I can tell you is that Ford ended up with our Falcon 900EX serial number 84. I was also told that Ford did replace a G-V with the 900.

So that explains the shanks and handcuffs I found in the back:D

Dang, did I forget them blasted things again!

:D :D

PS. What do you think of the two door arrangement on the forward lav versus the tri-fold door?

Sorry to take so long to reply, I've been on the road for awhile chasing StressFree:p

I'm sorry to say I'm not going to crew the -900EX, going on the -2000 instead, but I did take a peek in our(your) -EX and thought it looked very nice. I do recall the forward lav, but I don't remember much other than you have to build it:eek: when you want to use it. We had a GV with much the same setup, but a little more room to move around in. I think a better use of the space would be more galley storage, from what I remember in the -900/900EX, the flight attendant was always having problems finding storage for the catering.

I understand con-pilot, you never took delivery of this plane? I understand it was used as a Falcon demostrator before we got our hands on it.

By chance, are you in Dallas this month for school?

No, sad said to say we never took delivery. I was able to take it to Europe five times.

After 911 and the fall of natural gas prices the boss decided to roll the monies we had in on the 900 over to the 7X or FXN or whatever you call the blasted thing. We have serial number 21 (I think) of the 7X due in 2006.

Now we are looking for a used 50, but the prices keep going down so we are waiting for the 50 market to stabilize, if it ever does.

Back the forward lav door. The reason we changed from the tri-fold door to the bi door was just because of what you mentioned. Every time anyone used the tri-fold door you had assemble and unassembled the damn thing, with our design bi-door you just opened the doors and no problems, just shut them when through.

Anyway enjoy the 2000.

If I read the article right, it's going to be 2 900EX's & 2 2000's. Besides N326K, what will the other registrations be?
