I can't get into ruddy chat!

it keeps coming up on grey screen, and then says "done". When i move the cursor over the box, it goes load.....DigichatAppleClient not found

I'm flummoxed, and I can't do anything major to this computer as it is the main shop one!

On a couple of occasions earlier this week I had a lot of trouble getting into chat, which I don't usually have. Others have found themselves getting booted unexpectedlyand the lag has been terrible, frequently 30 seconds or more.
