I'm very, very tempted by the Sharp's Zaurus PDA.

It uses an embedded version of Linux 2.4, has a built in QWERTY keyboard, CF & SD slots 64Mb RAM & a touch sensitive colour screen.

Anyone know of aviation software for Linux? Particularly GPS mapping items.

If I decide to get it, it will be to use with a GPS in which case I'd like to replicate some or all of the abilities of the Pocket PC software Anywhere Map (www.anywheremap.com)

Of course I might buy it anyway. Only US$398 (~GBP270!) at amazon.com.

Saw the device at JavaOne a few months ago. Looks nice and the little keyboard is good.
The only question I had was "why bother?". Yeah, it runs Linux. But unless that's important to you a PPC might be a better choice when it comes to GPS software.
