The Free Internet is no more. It wasn't free really but provided cheap connection to the internet via a freephone number.

The service failed to work since 26 June and now it seems that it never will because it is in compulsory liquidation.

Oh well, its time I spent out for a wideband connection anyway although TFI was very cheap while it lasted - thats probably wuy it didn't last longer.

I was with TFI for 12 months from Sept 00, worked well until I paid my renewal in Sept 01, then the service went way downhill and had large chunks of down time ..... I eventually after many calls and heated conversations got my subscription refunded.

Glad to be well away from TFI - no surprises they went under condisdering the level of service they provided.

Been with NTL ever since .... fantastic ! 0800 connection, always connects with an excellent speed ..... All for £15/month wich includes £15 worth of tel. calls via a dialer box (not cable) at 3p peak, 2p evenings and 1p weekends .... SO, the ISP 0800 is really free ! (They bill you £15 even if you don't make £15 worth of tel. calls per month ......) Cant go wrong .
