Arrrrrrrrrggggggghhhhh

I recently upgraded to IE6.0, on a win98 platform and up until a few weeks ago it was running fine - I have now run into the following problem and cannot find a solution. Perhaps someone has had a similar situation and sorted this out.

I used to be able to select Internet Explorer and it would automatically dial my default internet connection. Now it will not do that and each time I look in the options I find the "Never Dial a Connection" button has been selected.

Each time I exit IE6.0 and then restart it (even without shutting windows down) it presents the same problem.

I have tried reinstalling IE6.0, with and without Outlook Express.

Is there a solution to this????

never had that prob with IE6/win98 altho I am now on broadband, so never dialup.

Just interested to know whether you get an error box each time you shut IE6 down. I do. Cant work it out.

I used to when I first loaded it, after carrying out one of the windows updates (through the microsoft website) it disappeared.

The error message basically read that IE had a protections fault and could not shut down - even though it closed properly when I clared the error.
