Outlook 2000 probs

The other day I had one of those blue screen crash things, I rebooted and allowed norton to fix the lost chains etc but ever since Outlook will only put up the splash screen. If you look at the tasks outlook is listed either as -Microsoft Outlook or Microsoft(R) Outlook(R) 2000. I have Run a virus scan, used scanpst.exe uninstalled and reinstalled outlook all with no joy. I have run out of suggestions now failing a reformat but I cant remember all my email passwords. I do have another profile on this computer that appears to work ok but again that has none of my email addresses in it. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

If you use the preview pane in Outlook by default, and the first item in the mailbox is corrupt (which could have been caused by the crash), then this can occur. There is an easy fix in the Msoft knowledge base, but will have to find it for you.

Try the /safe option first.
