Sometimes people get so wrapped up in what they perceive as the negative things they become blind to the positive. I've done it myself. Grown to dislike a job/place/person so much that everything about them gives me the irrits.
There's been a fair bit of this lately concerning Netjets and because I haven't gone along with the slaggings it has been suggested that I am 'management' which is strange when you consider that I'm so far down the food chain it ain't funny.
However, I do believe in giving credit where it's due so here goes (with apologies to happyjack).
A few days ago a Netjets captain was struck down with a serious attack of food poisoning. It's onset was sudden and although the flight was completed safely it soon became obvious once he was on the ground that it was more than just an upset tummy.
The company told him to check into a (Swiss) hospital immediately with instructions to use the company credit card to settle all the bills without quibble.
They then contacted his other half back home and offered to fly her out to the hospital. Fortunately this was not necessary as he was discharged, after some lengthy and expensive tests and treatment, the next day. The company booked put him in a hotel to rest before flying home the day after and since then have taken a keen interest in his condition.
How dare they, eh?
