Heard some loadies are not exactly fighting to get back on this bird. Having said that, if its choice between a job in ops or allowances? Still it might be better than wearing a skirt!

It's true! soon the dulcet tones of T.C.P. will grace the airways once again. Watch this page for progress news. The beast is currently in Tennessee receiving T.L.C. from the great man himself, prior to it's flight to TeesSide

It's official, the CL44 is scheduled to arrive in the UK this weekend. Starting from 12th Aug it will be flying on behalf of a cargo airline based in the UK...;)
It won't be the only Tyne powered beast around as the mighty Belfast is still going strong!:)

Any idea who the aircraft is going to be working for and where it will be based?

It (9G-CLA) will be flying into MME from Smyrna. Can't say where it will finally be based yet. It is going to be operating on behalf of the people who operate the Belfast:rolleyes:
There is also a nice picture of it in this months (August) issue of PILOT magazine on page 70.

Do not know where you are getting your information from but I think 13/8/02 will be the earliest departure from Smyrna and I would think that commercial availability some time after that.

I am afraid the rejuvenated lady has decided to spend another 1 - 2 weeks here, in Smyrna, taking in more sun before she ventures across the Atlantic.
So, HissingSid, could you let me have TCP's travel company's address to find out visa requirements for the second prize. Perhaps you could E-mail it to me.

Sadly,TCP has decamped to the Orient taking all the funds with him. Therefore I am unable to process your visa request.
You may attempt to contact him at the previous address,
[email protected] If you do make contact please ask him to remember to send me the combination for the safe at Harrods.
