Getting a PPL and flying in Europe

If my employer transfers me to a European Base ( UK, France, Germany), can I still keep up my flying. I currently hold a PPL and IR ( FAA).

Are there any special procedures one has to go through or can one go to a training institute / small airport and work on the rating. I would have a work permit and a US passport.

Shouldn't be a problem if you stick to "N" ac, you can even fly IFR. You should also be able to rent other registerd ac like "D", those you can only fly VFR.
