Long-haul flights - do pilots get bored?

On a long-haul flight (say LHR to LAX for example) does the flightdeck have long periods of 'silence' when the pilots have run out of things to say? Apart from managing the flight what do you guys do to keep boredom away on such long flights?

Etc, etc, etc, all the while keeping the ship on course, and underway safely. When it goes wrong, it goes very wrong......

Remember, a 10 hour flight is just the same as a 1 hour flight, except the middle bit is stretched out a little, you don't have to do 4 of them in a day, and the chances of the sun shining at the other end are generally higher.
