Just returned from Heathrow to Manchester on BA1402. We were extensively delayed at Heathrow, due to earlier thunderstorm problems at Manchester.

First the inquisitive bit - it must have been one hell of a thunderstorm, especially as her indoors reckons the thunder was gone by 15:00. What was occuring?

Now the good feedback - an excellent job by the entire flight crew.

Captain's PA "blah blah and that is all the good news. The bad news is blah blah, so we will get some more drinks on board...."

Captain's PA on getting his pushback clearance "let's go".

Cabin Service Director actually made the safety briefing sound like a good story and got everyone's attention.

Then a 30 minute flight, making up some of the time.

Well done BA!!

How long did you expect it to be? 30 minutes is the normal airborne time for LHR-MAN!

OK, so ATC helped a bit - not even half a trip around Dayne.

It was just a good experience!!
