Having been in the Tower for the last two mornings, I would like to thank all the crews who have helped us cope with the closure of taxiway A in easterly ops.
Your expeditious backtracking to AE has made what could be a very difficult situation manageable, especially when single runway operations are in force.
Today between 1230 and 1330 there were about 45 movements and nearly all the departures were on the runway twice. Nice job to all, even the Shuttle driver who wanted to discuss the reasons behind the opening times of the second runway as he was lining up!
There's still another couple of weeks of this work left so keep up the good work and lets hope for no LVPs! :)
