Does anyone have any contacts for resotoration projects in London/SE that could use a few pairs of hands on odd weekends? Any leads greatfully received.

It's a few years ago now, but there was a workshop on the airfield at Rochester, Kent.
They were working on a Spitfire/Hurricane. Don't know if ther still there or need help.

Certainly the Vulcan Restoration Trust at Southend Airport would not mind volunteers, if not on the a/c then elsewhere...

You could try the Friends of Duxford. They work on a lot of the IWM restoration projects on a volunteer basis and are always asking for more people to get involved (no experience needed). They mostly work on Sundays.

Duxford phone number is 01223 835000

It's only an hour away up the M11

Mitten,

To be honest I really don't care, I just fancy spending some time in the summer tinkering with a few planes so I can burn up some untaken leave. Email me at [email protected] if you have anything specific I can follow up on.
