Yes diesel8 - I'm from Iceland, and I know the guys are here. But the jumpseat issue is I think unheard of, sorry.

Well, one has to start somewhere, besides I love banging my head against a wall.
As mentioned, was trying to get a feeling for reciprocal jumpseats with a US carrier. Would imagine that the pilots do visit the US on vacations and this might be a mutually good deal.
Might you have an idea of who the responsible person would be, if so I would be most appreciative.

If can get a standby ticket, the Icelandair guys are usually very helpful in my experience. One my regular travels up there, i've been in the flight deck many times. :)

Icelandair desk staff at LHR were excellent at least in 1996.
Bought a SBY ticket over the counter (taxes only) simply by showing my company ID, with the flight departing in 40 minutes!
They are practical people!
