Hello folks,

I am an A320 F/O in Europe. I applied for an position with Korean Airlines earlier this summer. I just recieved an email from Rishworth asking me to confirm that I have 1000 "airline hours" and also a minimum of 500hrs on A320 or A340.

I currently have 800 hours A320/ "airline time". 1300hrs total.

In a few weeks time I will sign up with my present employer for another yearly contract and will, in a few months, have over the 1000hrs 'airline time' however I shall at that point be bound to stay there (penalty clause in contract for leaving).

So, do I have any shot with KAL with my current 800hrs? :-)

Please feel free to PM with any details.

Regards,

UFO.

If you look at CCL - who are the better agency to deal with - they quite clearly state that to date, no-one has been selected to the Airbus fleet with less than 1500hrs on the A320 - so you are no where near to the required hrs.

Better to wait until you have the number needed. After 3 applications, they won't look at you again. So keep the powder dry for now.
