My company has recently opened a London base. The amount of London weighting we get is extreamly small. I'd like to be able to compare ours with other London based Flight Crews.
What are the various amounts of London Weighting, that London Based crews get?

Thanks.

RJ.

We're all London based, so no difference, but even when we had regional bases it was only a couple of thousand pounds per year I seem to recall.

hows this for madness at bmi regional...

all visiting crews to LHR on nightstops get £20 overnight allowance and 24hr duty pay to reflect the higher cost of living in the south (london)

Also captains based at LHR on secondment with bmi regional get the above allowances plus £25 per night to reflect cost of living - like a sort of london weighting.

All sounds good so far....

However any FOs based at LHR dont get any london weighting or extra allowances to reflect the cost of living - but all other visiting crews including hosties get the allowances.

I feel for the poor FOs based at LHR as this deal sucks and balpa arent interested!

In my previous background my employer paid £2000 - £3000 extra for london weighting which seems reasonably.

ps - wonder what lufties' london weighting will be...

London weighting? No such think in my company - salaries are the same across the country.
