Its called Rooney Air because the owner is Mr Rooney (not the Footballer) he is a Scottish Businessman, G-OROO Citation Excel was on show at EBACE this year, it was operated by EBJ European Business Jets, until they went bust.
It is now bieng operated on Hangar 8's AOC, and commercially marketed as

As far as my knowledge goes on the subject, Air1Charter have the yay or nay on the Rooney aircraft (G-OROO XLS,G-CROO CJ2+,G-MROO CJ2), the aforementioned aircraft are with Hangar8 under their AOC and all very happy with the arrangement - with regards to the quoting/mails etc that you mention being received under various banners, not privy to the set-up on that side of things but nothing untoward, at a guess it may be that requests are sent via varied sources to obtain quotes etc. ??

Oh, just to clarify - definitely shouldn't be anything received with the EBJ name on to my knowledge - long since dead and buried !!
