Heard about a new charter airline in Gothenburg, TOR AIR.
Anyone has more info? Aircraft, people behind, recruitment,...

Sorry mate, but what a dumbsmart comment, if you had any idea about what happened to FlyMe you wouldn´t post something like that.

Things went sour when certain Icelandic (Sterlings owner) and Norwegian investors got involved. They both wanted FlyMe to buy several other lossmaking airlines. (Astraeus and FlyLAL)

On top of that they wanted to create one big Scandinavian low-cost airline, where FlyMe would buy Sterling, Norwegian, FlyNordic etc.

Point is that those people who started FlyMe had taken/been given a back seat when all of this was taking place.

In the end FlyMe´s money was used to buy 51% stake in GSS in Stansted, against the advice of majority shareholders.

If you have any other facts that we are not aware of, please share.

The Airline will get ther first 737-400 aircraft in 20 of November and the reg will be SE-RJA
Very litte about the investors and people behind the compnay has leaked out. More info about the Airline will come

...and soon they will state they will have 40 B737-800s on order, and stating how they will try to over take the scandinavian market from norwegian.no, norwegian.se :}

I've also heard that SPU is involved in TOR AIR, heard it from someone in their organisation this spring/summer.
