Hey PPRuNe's

I don't know how to start but I'll keep it nice and short.

I'm confused to how I should complete my training to get my self a job to start with.

I'm 33 years old from Sydney, Almost got my CPL a few hours to go, now I'm debating what do do after the CPL?

1) Do I spend the money and get my Twin IFR / MECIR?
2) Do I forget option one and get my instructor rating and spend a year doing that, good thing about this is I'll get around 400 to 600 hours for the year loggable command hours and get my ATPL theory out of the way?
3) Or forget option 2, and go for option one and go out bush and get a single job for a few years and build hours that way?

I know there is no quick way to get a good job, I just want to do the right things and choose the correct path.

Evey person I speak with gives me a different option, I just wanted to hear what the PPRune community has to say about it.

Thanks for your interested in my post.

Take it as far as I can. Airliners will be my goal and dream. Got the drive, time and the funds to go beyond ATPL and all.

I'm Male.

Dude, get your Instructor rating... There is a great demand for instructors back in Oz! Sure way to get your hours up... Then, from then on move your way up. Get your CIR/ME and twin time, META so you can get those valuable twin time... and ATPLs subjects out of the way...

Then the jobs and oppurtnnities will open up eventually. Nothing beats getting a good amount of expeirnece in the GA first before moving up in the airlines. Having an Instructor rating will also come in handy one day.

Have you also tried posting in Dunnudda and Godzone?

Cheers mate,

Thanks for your post, "Instructor rating" it will be, I get to stay local in Bankstwon, build good hours then go from there. While doing this will get ATPLs subjects out of the way and that MECIR as well.

Thanks mate.

Mate you would rather slam a car door on your di*k than go anywhere near Aersospace.
Take a walk around, there are plenty of schools around the airfield. Have a chat with a some of the CFI's and then make a decision.
