View Full Version : Using Waiting Time Productively

I occasionally have a few hours waiting time between sectors, usually on charter flights and the airports vary from the biggest and busiest, to smaller regional airports. Some have crew facilities, some don't. I hate hanging around doing nothing and I feel dishevelled if I take a kip in uniform.
What do you all do during downtime and is it possible to make it productive?

Studying for Masters degree, hang around time is great for that! Means I don't have to much at home!

Carry your laptop, most everywhere has WiFi now, or free plug-ins. If getting a degree is not in your loop, get Ppruning.

Not poker but you do need an internet based company of your own that you can run from a laptop. I set mine up with a webcam in the crewroom or cafe whenever I've time to spare and my regular clients send me money.
I'm making a fortune...

Sorry to be dreadfully boring, but.... Jepp amendments, clean cabin, check bar and cupboard stock and make a list for when back at base, more cabin cleaning, and of course chatting to FBO lovelies. :O

Rafat, your copilots must love you.
I like to visit the local town if possible. Get a bit of culture and all that.

www.flintstoneflauntsit.com *
The web based suggestion was serious though. I used to work with someone who managed websites as a sideline and would log on whenever we were idle. Worked for him.
* Do NOT click here, it's not a real........oh, you already did, didn't you? :E
