F/O 5000-6000usd per month(with everything)+13th month+ tax return usually one month pay. PIC upgrade not very likely. Commute rules quite good. 8-9 block days of per month+annual leave which you can take 2,3,4,5.... days a month or the whole annual leave at once. Currently not hiring, transfering MD11 guys to other fleets. No layoffs so far.

thanks DMN,

According to their website they are still hiring. Do you have some info that we don't?

They are delaying some ab initios so I assume that EVA is not hiring expats. As well, MD11 pilot group will be reduced by half, with transfers happening on 747,A330,777. Never hurts to apply. It could all change in 6 months.

I know that the ab-initios had originally been delayed but as far as I know that is no longer the case. I thought that the training in Taiwan for the trainees was back on schedule. Also, I had heard they were ramping their hiring back up for the additional flights being added to China.

What kind of time do they expats getting hired have? What are the typical schedules for those living in taiwan?

Time anywhere from 2000h turboprop to jet guys. You get your block days off as an expat and you can stay in Taiwan if you want. Apply and maybe give them a call. Work days depend on the fleet. EVA is not bad but it's not long term.
