Last few months I have been getting complete lockups requiring reboot with XPSP2/IE6/Logitech Cordless Combo MX Duo, but only in IE. Even C-A-Del is dead. Drivers appear to be up to date.

Things I know:-:)
I should be using Firefox/Opera etc and/orLinux

Things I will do:-:)
Revert to old wired k/b+mouse
Uninstall/reinstall Logi Combo

The Combo uses basic system drivers for ordinary functions, only needing Logitech drivers for 'Itouch' function (I don't use)

I bravely installed SP3 yesterday and problem continues. In the interim, has anyone experienced the same?

Update: removed Logitech 'Mouseware' and ran old wired mouse - same. Seems to be mainly in 'Links' column when I try to drag an item.

No change with all the above. I have now removed almost all add-ons and no change. Problem occurs with Links toolbar only but when I still had the Google searchbar add-on installed, trying to resize that threw the machine into a freeze? I'm stumped. Is it worth trying IE7?

Yes - as soon as it will access company https sites I will, unless that has changed? EDIT: No - it cannot. It is still not a PROPER browser, is it?

I'm just downloading the latest Radeon driver (which Windows denied existed.....)

I think it's more a case of those sites not being "proper" sites.

Programmers being too idle to go beyond the basics required for IE?

BOAC Firefox has a nifty add on called IE tab which switches over to the embedded IE engine in FF with one click of the mouse button.

Could be it, GG! I have 'view the page in IE' already but now need some help with IEtab - downloaded but how the ** do I install it? No sign in the Zip of any exe/com/inf file

Edit: Sorted, thanks
