It has been almost a decade and a half (yes...15 years) since CX management embarked on the 'Operation Better Shape' program. To those of you who weren't around then, that was the day that it became apparant that our careers were no longer of much value. From working for a company that shared the rewards with its employees, and provided satisfying and enjoyable employment, we have now reached the point where just about every area of our jobs are laced with misery, frustration and disappointment. The sad reality is that the longer you are here, the more you realise that your efforts, commitment and loyalty are worthless. For those of you who are contemplating spending the rest of your career here, perhaps you need to consider the facts of the past 15 years. Every promise broken, every condition and contract violated, every hope of improvement dashed. Now they are even violating seniority in respect of bases and commands. These two issues alone would have other airlines shut down by a strike. The one assurance is that the longer you stay here, the more you will regret not establishing your career elsewhere.
