Hi everyone,
I ran into an old friend today who was going for SIA interviews soon.
I was under the impression that SIA were only taking in cadets from Singapore and who trained in Perth. He was saying that they run a 'cadetship' type scheme in Singapore for forigners with commercial licences. (Aussie)If he was accepted he did his instrument rating in Singapore and the Singaporian ATPL.
Now is this true?? Or is this guy just pulling my chain?
Any info on this topic would be appreciated.
:)

Well mate , just to let ypu know what I heard , It could be true , but I think you have to be living in Singapore and they are not too inclined to take Aussie's because a whole bunch I think just left them after disputes for Emirates and other Middle Eastern carriers. You will also need a degree with a distinction if I remember right.Anyway thats all for now.

Regards :) ;) :) ;)

Well, guys welcome to the club...
:) :) :) :) :)

I've been applying since 1996 and have been rejected 3 times. If they don't want you, the pr**** at HR will come up with all kinds of excuses. Like ::

1. Need a different license
2. Too old
3. No degree
4. Need to redo your CAA 6 ATPL
5. Not SIA material (What is that??)

And thats only the first stage. Try going till the "tea-party" stage of the interview, you get canned if the director of flight ops doesn't like you or if hold the coffee cup the wrong way...

In any case, best of luck guys....

Hi guys! Could I please get some information regarding the SIA Cadet Pilot Selection process. I have a friend who is interested. I would like some information on the type of aptitude tests and questions asked at the interviews (how many interviews?). Any information is most appreciated! Thanks.
