Hi all - had a search for the past 6 months or so but couldn't find anything.

What would be the pay expectations for a 1st year international CC @ Air NZ? Base salary + average allowances? For Auckland based CC.

Via PM is fine if you don't want to put it on public display :)

Thanks :ok:

Assume you're referring to a PERMANENT CONTRACT as temp contracts are different.

Once graduated training, base for 1st year FAPC is 31 point something k, rising about 1k a year for the first three years. Add overtime and the cash allowances paid at destinations and you'd be looking at a total package of maybe 55k? Varies a LOT depending on what trips you get rostered and exchange rates, though, as overtime is a major component of our salary.

FAPS (work in business only) are recruited very sporadically (currently recruiting now for the first time in 5 years) and can be up to several thousand more but much higher workload so many good crew elect to stay down the back.

Thanks for that. There are walk-in interviews for temporary contract CC at Air NZ next weekend, am trying to decide if I should go or not.

Sorry to highjack this thread but I'd like to ask the same question of London based Air NZ cabin crew?

Many Thanks,

OK, from memory temp contracts are at least 5k less, if not more. Sorry I can't help with that one.

Koru Kid.... where do you get your figures from ????? .... most PC's I know are lucky if their taxable at years end, which includes all overtime and bank paid meals etc, are above $45k...... PS's who work business Class may be around $55 but certainly not the average Economy FA...... and starting out the income is substantially lower than that.

As I mentioned in my original post, I included cash allowances in my calculation.

You know as well as I do that allowances play a big part in our pay. If you spend all of them at destination, you must have a waistline the size of Africa.
