Those of you with a particular aSIAn airline who are still waiting for their long delayed bonus payments like me must be pretty frustrated.
Considering the company is making a bundle and have paid off the rest of the staff except the pilots is a crime!
The directors have collected their big bonuses already and yet they expect us to "go beyond the call of duty" or stick our necks out but the moment you commit a small incursion or someone puts in a "report" on you, you get called to the office and have a ton of bricks fall on you!!
Talk about being punitive.
To expect constructive feedback and dialogue and then to put us down during fleet meetings is a joke!
I guess the guys who are at the top have forgotton what is was like to be on the line eh?
So much for staff welfare!
Comments please!

It is deplorable that an airline like SIA, with it's huge financial wealth, and the means and resources to buy off 49 percent of Virgin Atlantic, can treat it's own staff this way. Don't they know what this is doing to staff moral, or don't they care?
I suppose the company will still expect you to act professionally, whilst they are trying to sc*w you.
I for one will not be going the extra mile, to save the company money, so it can be used to line the pockets of those people, whom are trying to deny us the rewards of OUR hard work.
You may find my low drag approaches, low and very dragged!!

It's a good thing SIA pilots still perform professionally for the sake of the Company and for the passengers.
Goodwill can only go so far especially when it is not reciprocated!
I don't know how long we can hang in there. It's coming up to a year now. There are still mortgages that have to be paid among other financial commitments!
Don't even know if we're getting anything on the 7th!!!
We must be the laughing stock among the other airlines to be pushed around by management like that.
Bye Bye to econ speed mate!

But the company is going that extra mile and to considerable expense in attempts to recover relatively small amounts(SIA profits relative)from some of its past employees who have moved on

Grumbling about pay raise and bonus again. You people should know better.
Your pay raise and bonuses are being given to law firms around the world for reasons mentioned by nice_beaver.
I don't know about other places but in my town, the lawyer representing SIA wants to upgrade his boat from 45' to 65'.
Enjoy your days off.

Genesis,
Pilot's union just accepted a package from the management. Bonus will be paid on 3-2-00 and the backpay probably in March.

Just to be slightly more precise, the union just accepted a PAY CUT from management and yes, back pay due for over a year will be paid sometime in the next two months. This from a company that regularly makes billions.

Hi guys...
I'm not a pilot in the fleet. What we share in common is the aSIAn airline.
I was...a cadet pilot with them. The welfare I must say is very shocking.I gave them two years of my life with their miserable training allowance and about 7 hrs b4 my CPL/IR flight test I was terminated..!! Now what I have is a 'Frozen ATPL', 230hrs with 29 hrs of the twin,no license and no money. Can't even continue the CPL/IR on my own..no $$$$.
I always told myself and family that it will get better after the training bcoz I'm at the bottom rung of the ladder..,I was surprised that it even happen in the fleet?? Sad..Such a successfull company http://www.pprune.org/ubb/NonCGI/frown.gif
I really hope u guys get ur money.Coz they've terminated me..after 2 years :) thats about $80000 or more?? ;)

Methusalah,
What pay cut are you talking about?
Service increments from the previous 6% to the 3.5% for last year and 4.3% for current year, bounus which remains about the same under a different formula or CPF cut begining last year which I think it's high time SQ restored it.

Annual Increment & Provident Fund, the former should not fall below 5% the latter should never have been touched in the first place. Bonus is just that, bonus.
